Alison richardson
About the Artist
Alison says:
'I am not an artist but I started painting as part of my own journey towards healing. All my art is inspired by my experience as a survivor and how I am now trying to process this as an adult. My paintings reflect this journey. I have painted this piece specifically for the Imara auction as it is part of a series of works which include morse code messages.'
About the Piece
Alison says:
'For several months I have been experimenting with blending paint on canvas to express moods and emotions. I have chosen colours that I find uplifting and remind me of nature, because being in nature is extremely healing and renewing. Much of my previous artwork includes abstract lines and dots, always with no meaning and only for aesthetic value. In this painting I have incorporated dots and dashes of morse code, leaving it to the observer to decide if they want to explore the message meaning.'
