"These two monoprints are inspired by a drawing I first made a number of years ago, and which often resurfaces in my artwork.  My character is a young girl - I was thinking about how as children we often have little control over our situations. 

I like the idea that this chair can grow feet and carry my character off, a bit like a magic carpet"

 

Amanda was a self-employed artist for a long time before becoming an art psychotherapist, now she enjoys sharing her time between both.

 

She initially trained as a sculptor but also loves playing with other mediums like simple drawings, prints, digital animations and more."
