'Hope'
Description: I often use unwanted ready-mades as part of my artwork. This is partly for ecological reasons, and partly to give my sculptures a bit of a history. I found this broken ornament with a glass dome at a car boot sale… the balloon made me think of Banksy’s graffiti of a girl with a balloon called ‘Hope’ , so I made this with that in mind. I also love glass domes as they remind me of museum pieces and treat the thing inside as something special.
