About the Artist

Bellina Adjei, founder of BeiCreative, is a self-taught illustrator and graphic designer. Her creativity began with a photography BA (Hons) from Nottingham Trent University and has steadily grown into other visual mediums. Under BeiCreative, Bellina’s artwork is influenced and inspired by a combination of her Ghanaian-British heritage, West African and pop culture, art house quirk, a sprinkle of nostalgia and Sankofa*. She uses bold colours, playfulness, cultural references & spice to bring joy through her art. Passionate about the environment, Bellina ensures her supply chain and work processes are eco-friendly and carbon-neutral. Along with the designs Bellina creates, she also produces bespoke portraits, pet portraits and scene-scapes for her customers, and takes commissions for larger projects. *Sankofa: A word in the Twi language of Ghana meaning “to go back and retrieve”. Simply put: to know where you are going, you must understand the past.
