Blue Dreamy
About the Artist
In a cage of zero privacy and no respect, a confrontational incident happened. Overly direct communication was unintentionally harmful, it killed rational and forgot the original intention, killed the feeling. Let the enemies died in cold blood. The only way to protected herself was to built a wooden fence. After that, she felt very proud and presence, stayed in a fixed field. The heavy shackles that sooner or later break the relationship. This is one of the paintings of Inner Emotions series.

Blue Dreamy is a visual artist, working primarily in acrylic on canvas and mirrors using a variety
of materials and techniques in the process. She was born in Hong Kong in 1993 and is currently
living in Nottingham in the United Kingdom. She graduated from the Vocational Training Council
of Hong Kong in 2014 after studying Graphic Communication.
She started out by painting abstract expressions of overflowing emotions including despair, mis-
anthropy, hope and freedom, insecurity, isolation and depression.
After a suicide attempt in
2009 at the age of 17, Blue explored ideas and techniques of mindfulness, self-love and spiritual
growth. She pursued studies into psychology, philosophy and dream interpretation. Her art is in-
fluenced by ideas from solipsism, reincarnation, and the power of the subconscious. She ex-
presses human trauma and self-healing processes by using rope, mirror, plaster, and acrylic in
her works.

Her society art project ‘FaFa’s Diary’ in 2019 found public recognition and received media atten-
tion. It was aimed at anti-bullying efforts in schools and was based on the accounts of survivors
and her own experiences. She has exhibited artwork in several group exhibitions in the UK and
HK. She has also curated exhibitions at the Affordable Art Fair (2018), at HangOut Studio (2019),
and at Chilwell School (2023) and served on committees of the DragoNation and the Phoenix
Foundations. She has received press coverage from Apple Daily Newspaper, Metro Radio, Only
Live Once Magazine, and the Museum of Failure Blog, among others.
