Fi Burke

About the Artist

Fi sometimes works in ‘beds’ of flour. The creation of forms and marks in their flour beds are evocative of Zen gardens. They are a place where the ‘raking’ and ‘sifting’ of the delusions or truth of words can take place to facilitate a daily openness to new ideas and ways of being that are without attachment to previous thoughts. Fi creates images of the resulting ‘flourscapes’, hoping to capture the quality and beauty of just ‘being.
