Fiona Allen
About the Artist
Based in Matlock, Derbyshire, I work in drawing and painting with a mix of expressive marks and figuration alongside structured lines and words.
I seek to be in control, whilst at the same time completely out of control. I bring these two opposing thoughts together, exploring suppressed emotions, outrages and memories to speak about themes of power, control, love and identity.
