About the Artist
Following a career in teaching when I enjoyed painting landscapes on holidays abroad I decided in retirement to study for a diploma in Fine Art at a college of FE, then for a Masters Degree at university. Although I became interested in abstract art developing the theme of ‘Beauty in Decay’ I returned to my original love of landscape painting in the medium of oil on canvas. I particularly enjoyed painting the gardens of friends.
I live in Radcliffe on Trent where I have constructed an art studio in my garage. I have also enjoyed painting special features in the village and the local Vale of Belvoir.
The painting I have selected for donating for sale is ‘Radcliffe on Trent Cliff Walk’. Oil on canvas, framed. 43 cm height, 34 cm width.
Inc. frame.I have other original paintings and prints but I understand the request is for one. Although some paintings I have given away to friends, mainly garden scenes, those I have sold in local exhibitions were priced between £30 and £60.
