About the Artist

I'm a mother of 4, grand of 3. I worked for Derbyshire police for 17 years in various roles, the last being a very stressful public protection unit. I retired in 2020. I've been collecting seaglass for years, wandering along the beach, and finding little bits of sparkling treasure is bizarrely one of the most satisfying things to do. Each of these little gems has its own historical story, some dating back to the 16th century. Last year, I decided to start making something from my collecting, and it turns out people like what I do. I recommend collecting seaglass to anyone. Walking along a beach recycling bits of treasure the sea has given up is a rewarding hobby and very good for your mental health.
